why wouldn’t a guy getting shot at a lot want an armored jacket? maybe the armor is spaced out to make it lighter or easier to maneuver in, i dunno. as for the armored jacket, i don’t see what’s really so outlandish about it. i’ve always been a huge fan of him, and while like any joe fan i get overwhelmed with the same old sculpts being reissued over and over, i applaud when they do something different enough but still staying with the core tenets of the character’s design. I think we probably just come from two different schools of thought when it comes to snake eyes. storm shadow clearly has some desert influence, and i will honestly say that i had passed on this figure a bunch of times until reading your review, which made me want him and track him down today. I do agree that he doesn’t make much sense as a desert figure, but i think they just did that to pair him against storm shadow in the same mission. i’m also a sucker for any figure that can hold all of his gear at one time, which is something a lot of the PoC figures can do and i love it. with the exception of arctic snake eyes (which was a brilliant figure, but a very specialized one) the RoC SEs left me cold, and i think this guy kinda makes up for that. personally i like my snake eyes to be dark shades, blacks and greys are his thing, and i agree with blacktron that hasbro just gives us minor tweaks on what is already a solid design, and what this version does best in my opinion is give us what the RoC SEs should have been.

DESERT BATTLE SNAKE EYES TIMBER UPGRADE
Either way, both of mine are going to be out of the package, and on the shelf, and maybe I’ll use the extra Timber to upgrade my Order from our custom Law & Order. I have to assume / hope Hasbro will do the same not too far down the road, because it’s just too dang easy of a repaint to miss out on, and it’d be an instant buy for all of us out here in Joe land. I had to buy two, because this figure is also going to make a very easy V4 Snake Eyes, some blue, some bright red, some grey, and the job is done.

DESERT BATTLE SNAKE EYES TIMBER FULL
The vest does look great, and allows full movement. The base figure for Snake Eyes is definitely Beach Head, different accessories, different vest, and different shin guards, but otherwise, all of the base details are there. An excellent modernization of the super-classic, nostalgia string tugging, V1 Command Snake Eyes. The Good | The Bad | The Rest | Availability | Photos Timber! And Timber is just as awesome as our favorite Joe! Let’s take a look!
DESERT BATTLE SNAKE EYES TIMBER MOVIE
To this point, the line kicked off with an exclusive Snake Eyes, then a main line Snake Eyes, then a revision of that Snake Eyes to fix a knife sheath issue, then a movie Snake Eyes, and now, a Snake Eyes with Timber in his more traditional V1-esque commando gear…dare I say, as an Alpha Commando, with his lil’ buddy Cringer…? No no…too much Netflix. That said, and the reason for stating, Hasbro has smashed that Snake Eyes button like crazy with the Classified line, and I can’t be mad. Still to this date never found my favorite, but we made a custom of him, so boy is that itch scratched. Joe figures (if you can imagine!), and I’d always find something cool, but never Snake Eyes. I remember going to stores, looking through pegs full of G.I. I remember being a kid, and not being able to find Snake Eyes anywhere. Joe reviews, including the rest of this wave, here!
